AAPD Launches A New Informational Website for Parents

The Academy of Pediatric Dentistry just launched a new website called mychildrensteeth.org

There looks to be a lot of good information there.  I'll see how it develops and report back here.  In the mean time click on the logo above to get the link.

good post...My interests are in evolution and development and I will most likely end up researching the molecular pathways of evolution of tooth morphology.

Hi,

I need help, I posted a comment earlier about my sons teeht being very decayed and living in the 3rd world with no access to dental care for children.
MY son jst fell on his face and broke both front teeth, one of them snapped right off, the other is hanging half off. both these teeth were severely decayed already. there is bleeding along the middle of the broken part of the teeth. some jagged edges of enamel also. he is in pain. he is 2 years old. i dont know what to do. please advise. thank you

Anon--sorry that happened. Sounds like there are many dental concerns going on there. Decay can cause teeth to easily break or crumble. The only advice is to seek medical care as best you can. Signs of infection like swelling can become serious.

That is fantastic. I would like to become a member. I see many child patients at my dental clinic in Edmonton.

It is good to know they are doing something to educate and inform us on ways to better care for our children's teeth. As most of the problems we encounter with our teeth as we grow up is a result of not properly taking care of our teeth when we are still young.
